Hays has partnered with a residential builder who, for over three decades, has built high-quality modular homes. They have perfected the practice of creating factory-built homes at their manufacturing site and have tailored these builds to their customer needs. They pride themselves on exceptional craftsmanship and give respective homeowners an experience they can depend on. They are currently looking for a Director of Construction out of their Milton site.
Your new role
The current opening is for a Director of Construction who will be part of their executive leadership team and manage the Construction Manager and Plant Manager. They will lead the construction division of this modular housing company while also serving as the engineer responsible for structural design and compliance. They will oversee the full lifecycle of modular home projects from design coordination and factory production to on-site installation. At the same time, they will ensure quality, safety and regulatory compliance. Finally, they will mentor and lead project manager, site supervisors and technical staff.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful Director of Construction will have a Bachelors degree in civil or structural engineering, or equivalent. They will have years in residential construction management projects and preferably in a leadership role. It is preferred that this individual will be a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario with authority to seal structural documents. They will have a strong understanding of modular building systems, off-site construction, and structural design. Most importantly, they will have a proven track record of delivering residential projects on time and within budget. They must be a great communicator with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
